Lifetime Defect Warranty
If your shades break because of a manufacturing defect, we'll replace them. Free.
What's Covered
- Frame breaking at hinges or temples during normal wear
- Lens delamination or coating failure
- Hinge mechanism failure within first year
- Logo plate falling off
- Lens popping out due to faulty frame
- Frame warping not caused by heat exposure
What's NOT Covered
- Lost or stolen sunglasses (see Lose 'Em Replace 'Em Program below)
- Scratches on lenses or frames from regular use
- Damage from drops, sitting on them, or impacts
- Heat damage (don't leave them in a hot car)
- Normal wear and tear after 1+ year of daily use
- Cosmetic wear that doesn't affect function
How to File a Defect Claim
- Email us at support@shredshades.com
- Use the email address you used to place the original order
- Include:
- Your order number
- Photos of the defect (close-up + full pair)
- Brief description of what happened
- We review within 48 hours
- If approved, your replacement ships free within 3-5 business days
We reserve the right to determine whether damage qualifies as a manufacturing defect or normal wear and tear.

Q: Do these cover all styles?
Yes. Every style, every color, every order. The Sender, Resort, Rally, Patio, Après, Fishbowl — all covered.
Q: Do these cover bundles like the 3-Pack?
Yes. If you buy a 3-Pack and one pair has a defect, that pair is covered. If you lose one pair, that one pair qualifies for 50% off replacement.
Q: What if I bought during a sale?
Both warranties apply regardless of what you paid. Sale buyers get the same protection as full-price buyers.
Q: What if my pair is from years ago?
As long as you can verify your original purchase email, both warranties still apply. Lifetime means lifetime.
Q: What if I want to return shades I just don't like?
That's our 30-day return policy, not the warranty. See our Returns Policy page for details.
Q: What if I bought from a third-party seller (not shredshades.com)?
Warranties only apply to purchases made directly from shredshades.com.
